Portfolio cover doodle

I bought an itoya art portfolio for my process portfolio (a portfolio showing the process of my illustrations from start to finish). The thing is, itoya art portfolios tend to be used by everyone and their brother, because they're the default option at blick and utrecht. I bought a super fancy Pina Zangaro presentation case for my main portfolio so I didn't want to go all out on a second book to hold work.

I decided that I needed to dress up this portfolio, and what better way than with a doodle? I took a silver paint marker I bought a few years ago for reasons I can't remember, and had a field day.
Working on black was an interesting experience. I used to work on black a lot back in high school with prismacolors, and I really like how the silver worked with it. The marker took a little getting used to, since I've gotten used to fine-tipped points, and this definitely was not fine-tipped.
