I took my green doodle:

and got a really high quality (600dpi) scan of it, and decided to have some fun messing around with it on photoshop.

I love messing with my traditional work digitally, With monochromatic work like this, color is completely arbitrary.
I have a significantly larger size file for this, but decided to downscale it because I don't want my work stolen.

I might upload a higher res version in the future, but it seems like most all of the details can be seen in this resolution, so I'll leave it be for now.

I can never get over how amazing you are with these intricate designs, it's so polished and clean and perfect with pens! Or did you use markers which is even more impressive. :D

I used staedtler triplus fine liners, so I think they are super fine tipped markers

hm...I cannot really say how long it took to draw...maybe 5 hours or so.
As for photoshopping, I probably fiddled with this for around an hour or so before I got it to where I liked it.

I'd leave it at this size. The details are easy enough to see, and you won't risk being robbed.

It moves! My eyes are all over the place. But seriously, this is amazing. I tried and failed to do something similar a while ago so I admire how hard it is to actually complete something like this (and yours even looks good!)

thank you!

If you're interested in seeing, the first time I ever tried out something of this nature was this deviation:

[link]

as you can see, I made this one over 3 years ago. With practice and experimentation, I got to where I am now. I'm confident that if you keep trying, you'll come up with some pretty cool patterns and designs yourself :)

just remember--always have fun with it! Don't ever force it. Draw what you're most happy doing. Thankfully, I simply love doing this kind of stuff, and I think because I like doing it so much, others are responsive to that.

I really like the first one because of the way you're holding the sketchpad. That kind of appeal won't work if you're holding something that isn't so abstract.
